TICKETS
THERE ARE SO MANY TICKETS, WHICH ONE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Regular tickets are meant for people who buy tickets as individuals. Corporate tickets, instead, are meant to be bought by companies for their employees. The latter is deductible according to the company local tax law.
âSupporterâ tickets are meant to support the Financial Assistance program by including a donation over the standard ticket price.
Donations are another way to contribute to help other people to attend the conference; they are grouped in three levels: bronze, silver and gold. Donations are targeted to the attendees who already bought their ticket but would like to provide a support to other people. All the proceedings from donations will be used for grants during the conference and given back to the Foundation if not fully used.
DISCOUNTED TICKETS
Beyond Financial Assistance, in order to help under-represented categories to participate, a number of discounted tickets is available for unemployed people, students and Django Girls Florence attendees. Discount rate is 50%.
Moreover, we decided to extend a discount promo for the participants of PyCon Otto , the national Python conference, that will take place in Florence. People who'd like to attend both the conferences will get a 20% discount.Â
CAN I GET A TICKET WITHOUT VAT?
Unfortunately this is not possible. Because of Italian tax law, VAT is always due on tickets for events and conferences which are held in Italy. For the same reason, reverse charge for EU citizens and companies is not applicable.
CAN I CANCEL MY TICKET?
Yes, tickets can be refunded, so don't worry if you can't come anymore. To get a cancellation free of charge you have to communicate it up to two weeks before the start of event. Contact us via mail at [email protected] indicating the ticket purchase number.
IS THERE ANY HELP FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD ALL THE COSTS?
People who need help can refer to Financial Assistance program, made possible by Django Software Foundation and donors.
Financial assistance plan provides also some coverage for travel expenses. It's up to the FA committee to decide the extent of the support provided. Generally speaking travel expenses will only be covered partially, while for the accommodation we will provide a place in a selected hotel with expenses paid directly by the organization.
Applications are now closed, grants will be assigned by February 15th 2017.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS
When will I receive transport tickets bought through your website?
Unfortunately we can't send this kind of ticket via email as the supplier does not feature this possibility. Don't worry, we will take care of it anyway: public transport tickets will be provided during conference registration sessions at Cinema Odeon. Mutiple day passes will be nominal so please make sure to input your name after purchasing them.
ACCOMMODATION
CAN YOU RECOMMEND AN HOTEL TO STAY AT?
We do not have any special deal to offer. There are many good hotels in the city centre, so you won't have to use buses or other means of transport to reach the conference location. You can find cheap solutions browsing through Airbnb  and Booking.com websites. Useful information can be retrieved also on Firenze Turismo , the official tourists website of Florence.
HOW CAN I GETÂ TO FLORENCE?
